11/16: Big sundae
http://cellar.org/pictures/bigsundae.jpg
Big Indian sundae, that is. In western India, in the city of Ahmedabad. It isn't a record sized sundae, but it was built in just over an hour and fed 50,000. What this really says: the starving children of India, so popularized by mothers everywhere trying to get their kids to eat, are now well-fed. India is not the starving country it once was. Thanks to the government's de-nationalization of its farming industry and a few decades of growth, they have so much food that they can play with it. |
fp!

You haven't had a sundae until...
...you eat one with steaming hot fudge poured all over it.
Man, I miss the old Lindsday and Gertie's Grill and Ice Cream parlor in my old neighborhood in Chicago (back when I was but a wee lad of 8). That was a fine hot fudge sundae that place made. It's home to the birth of two of my cavities. =) -Cyc |
