Have you flown lately?
 

I'm going down to Mississippi from December 7 - 10. Flying, of course. From Dulles to Jackson, MS and then back. Have you flown since September 11?

I have never flown on a commercial aircraft before. My dad is a pilot and I've flown with him countless times, but I've never had to check in my baggage, etc. So, what can I expect?

Also, I don't have a government-issued photo ID (but am working to get it) - think this will be a problem? I have a school ID and a Social Security card, but no license to drive. Working on getting a VA state ID card, but that requires 2 proof-of-identity documents and I currently have none (but can get my birth certificate easily) - apparently they don't count my Social Security card as a proof of identity. Whatever. Hopefully I can get another one. Anyway, am I going to need it?

What can I expect from this whole thing?
