Question about re-wiring handheld toy

Anyone know how/where to find out how to change or remap the different tones Lights Out (from Tiger Games) makes? I want to make it into a small keyboard to use when my band plays shows, but I have knowledge of electronics hardware. I'm not even sure if it's possible, but I have check around at a ton of sites (which ended in me playing the game for 3 hours) but I couldn't find anything.

Someday I'll be a toy designer and not have to hack other things into pieces to make what I like :-0

Whoops I really thought I had posted this in the technology forum, guess I mis-clicked. Any way I can move this?

Do a Google search for the term "circuit bent". There is a whole subculture of techy music types that warp toy stuff like that into interesting musical devices.

There is somebody somewhere doing everything... and Elspode knows about them. :)
