Motorola RAZR V3

Anyone else got one of these things?
Details here
I'm been carrying round a wopping great P800 for years now, it's got some neat features (remote mouse/slideshow control on the mac not least among them) but this thing is just so fucking sexy and slim I'm really tempted, most reviews seem very positive but I'd love to hear from anyone that's got one.

That thing is actually a communicator from Star Trek, isn't it ...

There's a thought ... having the original series bleep-chuh-chuh sound might make the direct connect feature more bearable?

Rather nice design! Pretty blue, too, but that thing would break in less than a day considering how I abuse my cell.

I've been intrigued by this Motorola MPx

THAT is spiffy.
I was staring at the first picture awhile, wondering if it was a bad photoshop job, seeing as the little keyboard facing the opposite direction from the screen. THEN I scrolled down and saw the other pic: oooooohhhhh, I understaaaand. :p

Wolf, do you mean this?

Average life of a cell phone - 18 months. Treasury says paper money even lasts longer - 19 months.

Undertoad 03-04-2005 06:55 PM

Money talks, but talking back to it is probably not a good idea.

I'm getting one of these.

My brother has that sound programmed into his so when he flips it open, it makes that sound. Funny as hell!

Sadly, my default ringtone is Worf saying "Captain... incoming message..." I admit the problem, which is at least half the battle.

Still, when you think about it, it only took 'em like 25 years to get a phone that you flip open exactly like a communicator

I always wanted this for a ring tone ,
you need to unzip this file

Oh my goodness yes, I love both of those.

As good as I am at computers, I am technologically backwards at Cellphones. I barely am able to utilize my contact list ... I have a Nokia that is capable of polyphonic ringtones, but I thus far have only gotten new ringtones off the provider site. (I'm using the Star Trek Original Series theme currently, and my background pic is a lovely one of Uncle Duke, which I've had on there for about the last 8 months, it's now a memorial to HST, sorta) Is there a way to get these sounds onto my phone that won't require buying a new phone? (Now that I've posted the question, after I finish my Cellaring for the evening, I do intend to check my provider's website to see if I can find the answer there, but if anyone already knows ...)

the motorola v3 is awsome! Does it take good pictures as well? I wanted to buy one and I heard of this new contest ran by Nokia which is called new see or see new, I am not sure, but is about sending a pic. taken with a cell phone and then if one wins, a day with a professional photographer would be the prize. I would love to experience professional photography.

Yes -- well my wife just got the RAZR V3c (VZW version). I have not used it much myself -- I got the LG VX8100 (mp3 player ;) )but it seems to be pretty good. Check out the discussions on HowardForums dot com
