Innovative open software
I remember a while ago a site that listed innovative open software projects. But I've lost the link, and can't remember where I read the referring article.
The site was kind of like freshmeat, except that the software was really one of a kind. No PDF viewer ports or biff applets. For example, one project was some software that could be used to join together a number of photos into one wide angle one. Can anyone point me in the direction of this site? Thanks |

The good news is, I found the site. It's called sweetcode. It was listed on memepool (the ultimate in MLP). |
Us Open-sourcers don't do anything innovative. That's the problem. It's all rehashed shit that we're copying from someone else. Ugh.

But that site refutes that idea. It's excellent.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/zplet I do have a nice <mfamfmffmf> for Microsoft <mfmfmfmfmmm>, but 1) I'm not sure if it counts as innovative and 2) It's banned by the DMCA. |
that is a VERY sweet page..
fantastic stuff its very simple really Microsoft copies Apple The OSS copies Msft, but does a better job Example: OSX rocks, WINXP is liek OISX, except without the class, style, quality or ease of use. Mandarke 8.1 is like XP wihtout the bullshit. The lack of clear direction i think stop Lnux coming up with anything revolutinary (aprat from the concept of OSS) |
