Happy Easter

To those of you who celebrate it, happy Easter.

To those of us who don't ... enjoy the chocolate anyway.

(For me this is the most paganized of the christian holidays ... there were no bunnies and chickies at the resurrection, after all.)

Well, there could have been. :D

Happy Easter.

Since I'm visiting a friend right now, we ended up going to her boyfriend's Catholic Easter mass, which was a novel experience for me. Way different from the Protestant services I've been to.

Actually, I was struck by the marked similarity between the Catholic mass and the Jewish Yom Kippur services I've attended. All in all, an educational day.

OK, slowly put down the Peeps and back away. No more sugar for you. :haha:

Show me a Christian holiday that ISN'T a rip-off of the pagan.

wolf 03-28-2005 01:27 AM

I'm sure one of the really obscure ones ...

I don't think the church ripped off the summer holidays too much ... Litha, Lammas, and Mabon go pretty much unnoticed.
