Happy Friday the 13th everyone!

Just wanted to say good luck to everyone! this is usually one of my better days.. if a person believes in that sort of thing.

(although saturday the 14th is still one of my favorite good bad movies)

I just saw some guy in a hockey mask running down the street swinging what looks like big scissors. But then no one in this neighborhood seems to die. They just seem to move away.

I seemed to have a case of the stupids while driving this morning, but other than that, it's been an uneventful day.

I did not crash my bike riding to work today. I was not bitten at work today. I got a mess of shots this afternoon and so far have not had a bad reaction. There are Tanqueray and tonic and limes in the house. So far so good. My bro in law is having a "crappy" day however.

I walked into work today to the news that we are staying open until 9pm. we usually close at 6, so that was nice. you'd think they'd at least tell the freakin managers. apparently the GSM forgot to pass out the memo. cock. not that some shit head salesman wouldnt have closed a deal at 6:30 that kept me here until 9 anyway, but still.....it's the point.

Mixed bag.

Bean the dog is getting arthritis, and it's gotten really bad in the last two weeks. This morning he could just barely stand and when he got knocked over, he peed right on the bed. He couldn't even stand up to say he had to go. I had to spend the morning doing several loads of wash. The good side, now my bedding is entirely clean.

Thanks to Jacquelita's membership in the local non-commercial AAA radio station WXPN, and her efforts to get tickets, we went to see Ben Folds do a mini-concert live, for free, at noon. The man did not disappoint. He is brilliant.

Then we went to the White Dog Cafe and had a lunch that couldn't be beat. She had a pasta dish that was magnificent. I had a salmon burger that was done perfectly.

Took the dog to the vet and she put him on an anti-inflammatory drug and perhaps he will not need surgery. The arthritis is affecting his back, rear hips and knees. Keep your fingers crossed.

Yeah, I've been waiting for something bad to happen all day. Whew!

Wait, whats that creaking noise? It sounds like

OK, I'M STILL FUCKING HEEEERE. it's 9, and the showroom is full of fuckers...i mean customers. i'll probably be here until midnight. but i dont have to be back here until 8:30 tomorrow morning with a short 1 hour ride each way in between, so i've got that going for me. maybe i'll just sleep over. :( i'm surew i'll be nce and crisp for tomorrows business. brilliant planning, i must say.

After a 13 day wait, I finally got my new glasses! Man, it sure is good to be able to see again.

I spent an absolutely obscene amount of money on them this time (we recently refied on the house, and so I actually got what I needed instead of what I could afford). I'd milked my last pair of frames for four years, and had two years on the lenses, so I was way due. The final straw was that one of the lenses on my old pair fell out and I didn't notice it until it was hopelessly lost.

Anyway, now I'm sporting lineless Zeiss bifocals in titanium frames with all the anti-glare, scratch-resistant coatings they had available, plus I got photogradients to minimize the sunglass clip on-off damage.

For what I paid for these damn things, I should be able to see through women's clothing, though.

The rest of the day has been okay. We witches kind of like Friday the 13ths.

It wouldn't match your sweet imagination. :headshake

Think about it, all the marks, shaping and wrinkling that clothing does... without the clothes. That would be strange.

I haven't gotten my eyes checked in 7 years...I think it's time. Maybe I'll go to Pearle later today.

After my previous post, I walked almost 5 miles and had some fish tacos from Johnny Maņana's. I was in bed by 9:30. Friday the 13th turned out to be a pretty decent day for me.

Yesterday(the 13th), I was forced to go see Kicking and Screaming (new Will Farrel flick), death would have been a sweet sweet release.
