What's in your freezer?

yellow-billed cuckoo

Happy Monkey 06-21-2005 06:08 PM

Microwave Indian food. At least a year old.

And all of my glasses (beverage serving, not eyesight correcting).

Gino's pizza rolls, pizza bagel bites and pizza.
Waffles.

but most importantly--ICE CREAM!

Upstairs freezer in fridge:

four trays ice, plus rectangular bucket of ice; coolwhip, half gallon Birthday Cake ice cream. 4 limeades (makes 2 quarts). two 1/2 cup containers of homemade pesto. 4-5 ziplocked servings of homemade baked beans. Gel cold pack. Resers frozen burritos. 5lbs veg/chicken potstickers (wait, served last night--company). frozen mixed vegetables. Frozen mixed berries (smoothies, yum).

Edit: staceyv reminded me..frozen waffles, storebought. frozen frenchtoast homemade...enough for several quickie breakfasts.

just from memory. will doublecheck at home.

Downstairs chest freezer: 8 loaves whole wheat bread. several 1lb packs of ground beef. half dozen ziplocked turkey broth servings. More limeade and raspberry lemonade. More ice cream, Cappucino Chip and Peppermint Candy. Two frozen pizzas Several Swanson's frozen entrees, various (10 for $10) 4-5 1lb packages of balogna. two pack fryer chicken.

More memory scanning. Probably not far off.

3 weeks worth of coffee cake, muffins and pancakes. 3 weeks worth of homemade bread. Pre-cooked grains and a 3 pre-made dinners. (I make a lot during my time off so I don't have to while I'm working-this is all for Arsen)
Steaks, cheeses, veggies, ground turkey, etc etc. If you open the door, something might fall out.

I usually have premade dinners in the freezer, but I,ve run low enough that the two I have left are in the fridge thawing.

SteveDallas 06-21-2005 06:37 PM

Umm let's see, an empty martini glass, the freezer bowl from my ice cream maker (a birthday present -- I should start a food thread about it), frozen waffles, Toaster Strudel, a couple random frozen pizzas, and varying quantities of chicken breasts, ground turkey, ground meat, lamb, or pork chops, depending on what's been on sale recently.

Okay, someone's gotta do this:

Griff, why the hell do you have a yellow tailed cuckoo in your freezer?
Are they edible?

BrianR 06-21-2005 06:58 PM

I have some ice cubes, a handful of Pop-Ices, two Ice Cream novelties, half a box of waffles, four hamburger patties and one can of frozen OJ concentrate.

I have a very small freezer. A new chest freezer is coming but I gotta figure out how to get it home first. Anyone with a truck or van care to help out?

Brian

Isn't your real question, "Why don't I have a yellow-billed cuckoo in my freezer?" I'm holding on to a window kill for a biologist friend.

What kind of vodka does Arsen have in the freezer?

Clodfobble 06-21-2005 08:12 PM

My freezer is always packed to the gills. Most interesting item: peeled bananas (can't freeze them with the peels on, trust me) and strawberries, for making smoothies for breakfast.

Griff 06-21-2005 08:18 PM

Smoothies, thats a good idea!

I wonder if Wolf has some scarey stuff in her freezer.

elSicomoro 06-21-2005 08:19 PM

I have a bunch of frozen dinners that Rho didn't eat before moving. At least I don't have to do any more grocery shopping during my last days in Philadelphia.

SteveDallas 06-21-2005 08:38 PM

Smoothies? Any good recipes? I think I have the lamest, most useless blender in the world. I've thought of getting one of the handheld ones but I figure it'll probably not get used.

limey 06-21-2005 08:40 PM

Forty mice and a half bottle of 60% proof vodka, amongst other things.
