World of Warcraft

A search of the forums didn't yield much on this topic so I thought I would start a thread about it.

Anyone play? Iv'e played a few other MMORPGs but this by far my favorite. There is so much to do and the playstyles are endless. Its also one of the few games where I find leveling to be more than some long session on a treadmill. The downside right now is that I'm playing on a shared account and my playtime is more used for experimenting classes and new spells than for getting a character to the max level.

The game has a few imbalance issues (mostly related to PVP) but the continual development of content by the great people at Blizzard makes up for it.

Lastly, rouges and paladins are a bunch of whiners.

Thought hard about giving it a try, but went with Guild Wars (no monthly fee + less time commitment) instead.

I'm going to buy this one as soon as all the company leaves the house and I actually have access to my own computer again (nephews outnumber me). I can't wait.

Server: Terenas
Main: Perthuz, lvl32 Dwarf Paladin
Alt: Furore, lvl15 Night Elf Warrior

I don't really play as often anymore, but it's a great game and what little time I do get to play is always a blast.

Fun fun fun game.

The blizzard forums are complete whine fests. If you play a shaman these new forums are good: http://shaman.henington.net/index.php

Server: Silver Hand
Main: Skag 35 Tauren Shaman
Alt: Per 35 Dwarf Paladin

Retired on Stormreaver(PVP):
Agadra 26 Troll Mage

Just got WoW over the weekend. It has great potential to take up all my free time. Currently playing on Iron Hand and ... can't remember the other one. They're kind of inundated with morons and leet-speak. Who's playing in one that actually takes advantage of ally/horde PvP and tries to retain some semblance of atmosphere?

They're supposedly going to open a PvP Roleplay server soon which might be what you're looking for, Noodle. I stay out of Ironforge as much as possible because that's where I seem to see the most l33t and immaturity. As a rule, I leave general chat immediately upon creating a new character. For what it's worth, I have more people on my Night Elf's ignore list than on all my other toons combined.
