Stubbs or Warriors

I really had my heart set on Stubbs, but how is Warriors, I'm thinking about getting that instead.

I have absolutely no idea what either of them is.

The Golden State Warriors are going to be great this year, even better than the Lakers, and I have season tix, center court aisle, row 18, club access. The entire area is sold out for the season this year.

Are the Stubbs from like Pittsburgh or St Louis? Are they an expansion team? I'm not familiar with the NBA East, the Phillies have the 76ers already, if I'm not mistaken.

Go Warriors!

The Warriors was a fun campy film back in the day. I can't believe they turned it into a game. They are really stretching now.

There were two fun catchphrases in the film and both are in the commercial.

"Warriors... come out and plaaay!" - seems silly, but it was used to great effect in the film. The bad guy is banging beer bottles together in his fingers, and it makes this weird clanking sound as he taunts the hero gang.

"Can You Dig It": this line was sampled and used as the basis of a really great single by Pop Will Eat Itself.

I'm sure the bits in the commercial are all cut scenes. I would wait for a review of this one.

I imagine this is one reference. I have no idea what Stubbs is. Perhaps a game where you get to be one of the Four Tops?

Ah...Stubbs the Zombie, a new videogame...

Repeat after me ... With extremely rare exceptions, videogames based on movies or tv shows suck ...

I never got the big deal over the movie to begin with. I mean I saw it when it came out, and when it was rumored to be sparking riots and gangwars all over the country.

What I saw when I got to the theater was a badly cast (come on ... the "leader" was way too much of a nerd to actuall lead a damn gang ... unless their deal involved a lot of dancing, like in West Side Story) piece of crap film that had great advertising.
