Come on, guys! Let's see some snow! Bring some 2005 winter images to this Floridian that hasn't seen the cold stuff in years.

Certainly not snowing over here in West Palm either .... kinda miss the stuff however ... heard all my CT coworkers whining about the dusting they just got and the snow on the way tonight ... hehehehe

We got an inch or two so far here in DC. At least that's what it looks like from my walk home from the metro. The kids in Extended Day at the local elementary school must have been playing outside this afternoon. There were a good half a dozen partially completed snowmen scattered around the playground. They looked kind of funny. Big snow balls just randomly scattered around the school yard. One completed snowman looking at his malformed brethren.

I picked up 460 lbs of salt on the way home. Told the cashier, I pity the slug that gets in my way. :worm:

Having grown up in Atlanta, I'm used to seeing snow at least once a year, although some years we went without. That light dusting was enough to build a decent snowman if you were good enough at collection the stuff by rolling. You might use an entire front yard's worth of snow to build one snowman. Of course the grass, bermuda, dies in the winter so you end up with what looks more like a sasquatch. Ugliest snowmen I've ever seen come from the south!

Hah! We have an office in New York and the bitching and moaning is endless when a winter storm rolls through. Suddenly, all those storms we get down here...what do you call them, again? Well, they forget that we deal with those from six months out of the year.

We got our tree, today. It was 80F. Christmas? Doesn't feel it! :D

Is that message made from hurricane debris?

It's snowing a lot.

Sundae 12-06-2005 08:36 AM

Not according to the weather report - it's the same there as here, about 6 degrees (approx 43 fahrenheit)...

Feels warm to me. Bring on the snow!

Undertoad 12-06-2005 08:40 AM

What a ripoff. We got almost nothing. I want my money back.

Why does Philadelphia always seem to have warmer temps than the rest of the area? Something to do with proximity to the ocean? A climate created by concrete? (microclimate created by large cities)
