It's certainly an odd shape, but it was just a rock that came from a gravel truck. There are two gravel quarries within five or six miles of my house, so I share the road with these big trucks all the time. But this is the first time that one of my vehicles sustained damage from them.
The good news is, I called the gravel company and they're going to replace my windshield at their cost. I'm
particularly glad about that, because I have a $250 deductible on my auto insurance and the replacement glass would only cost $225, so insurance wouldn't cover the new windshield.
Yay me!
Even better, the new glass is coming right to ME - I don't have to go anywhere to get it fixed. More yay!
