Keeping kids in winter means keeping them busy, entertained, out of trouble, and maybe out of your hair.
Give them these to practice, maybe to illustrate a story, or make up a story.
If they make one up write it down, maybe get a book deal, or make millions on u-tube.
Then piss it away before they get old enough to contest it.
