if this is pursued the $$$$ amounts are much larger than you are thinking here. but since it is money she wasn't counting on for everyday life, the smartest thing to do would be to invest it for the retirement years.

but more important that money will be her work record. at this point she has to answer a big YES when asked if she was ever terminated from a job due to performance issues. under no circumstances can you say in an interview "i was let go to retaliate for my filing a complaint" BZZZZ interview over.
