"Double-tapped" is the standard police and military lingo for the proper way to use a pistol to take someone down, i.e. to fire twice in rapid succession before recoil become and issue. This ensures maximum takedown power and accuracy.

I think a "carry-piece" would be the firearm a cop carries while off duty.
<BR>
Die-hard cop show watching pays off for a change (TiVo rules! I can watch Homicide on Court TV whenever the heck I want, not at 1:00 freaking AM.)
