Yeah, it's amazing how quickly the space gets chewed up, huh? I'm actually holding off on ripping my CDs until I figure out a better system. My goal is to come up w/ a system whereby I don't have to set aside a bunch of time to rip CDs, per se, but instead I just play each CD as I feel like hearing it and it's ripped automatically as it plays. Then I never have to use that physical CD again. Kinda like RealJukebox, but in simple, convenient setup that is more like a stereo component and, um, wife-friendly. There are few hardware devices out there that will do this, but it's all still too expensive.
I may end up actually using RealJukebox for now. I can't believe TiVo isn't all over this; it's a *perfect* platform. Maybe when they release an external CD drive for the new USB-capable TiVo they'll build audio ripping/playing capabilities into the software...?
Anyhow, I'm up for MP3 ripper/player suggestions... Anybody?
