Whoa...you're good. Now I'm going to have to go find out about Live Auctions (never done one). Could be a good deal! I contacted the seller of the one I linked here and asked about the Pb. He gave me some good information. I was misinformed (looking back and reconsidering the source, I should've known!) about remarques...they are usually small squares in the margin where the artist draws a detailed sketch, usually of one thing in the print, apparently to get a feel for or test the sharpness of the burr (etching tool). They raise the value of a print. The red Pb in the duck print is just his in-plate monogram... weird...I'm used to seeing them in either of the bottom corners, in black, where they blend in. I guess monogramming is random, maybe depends on the artist. There isn't one in my litho. I also just found a link to "art" definitions http://www.christcenteredmall.com/st...efinitions.htm - very strange source for that kind of info......but as long as the info's good, who cares.
