Even if there is a cultural difference there guess what.. you're a citizen of the United States and enjoy all the privilege that comes with that. So in turn, you are bound to the laws of this country whether you like it or not. Don't like the law?
Do something about it to get it changed or
GTFO.
Personal opinion: anybody who participates in or supports such blatant animal cruelty for sport is a bag of shit. I don't care if you're black, white, orange, green, the Queen of fucking England. It is one thing to raise animals for the pure intention of food for example. It's a whoooole 'nother to use them as pawns in a sick, bloody game that only serves as entertainment for the betting spectators and imparts terrible suffering on the dogs. Is the league in position to take action against him for "alleged" behavior? I don't think so, unless he is proven guilty by court of law. But then again, I don't know what rules and regulations he is bound to by being a member of the league so I can't say for certain the course of action they should take.
To me, this has nothing to do with football, so his football playing time should not be affected. However if the league has rules about off-field behavior, and something like this is included, then sucks for him. He knew what he was doing and thought he could get away with it. If he didn't, someone convinced him that this is legal or he just didn't know, well that's just being an idiot and there's no cure for that yet.
Don't worry about it shawnee, we all got our soft spots. Animals is one of mine as well.
Cultural my ass, this is plain inhumane:
