Trying to get her to "help clean it up" would, I fear, be like trying to herd cats. Though the approach will be filed for dealing with her at later age.

As for the reward angle, that definitely sounds good on the surface, but I've encountered kids who do (something) and EXPECT the reward -- have trouble identifying the line between what is expected and what is helpful/above-and-beyond expectations. I suppose use in moderation is the way to go.

I DO get the feeling she's doing things to elicit a response. Perhaps, as they say, ignorance is bliss?
