Yeah, I live in Melbourne, but I haven't seen either of those bands. To be honest I haven't really heard anything by Snog, but Augie March are cool. I have a funny story about them, actually.
I was in a music shop (in Knox, I think it was) and I found an Augie March CD under 'M' in the alternative section. I moved it to 'A' and went to look at something somewhere else. I went back to alternative and the same CD was back in 'M'. Don't you love the ignorance of the average music store employee? They work in a music shop and yet they probably haven't hear of more than 10% of the bands they sell CDs by.
And BDO? Damn straight. I went to the last three. My big regret is never seeing Soundgarden, who I would have seen if I'd gone in 97.
