You and me both. I had an opportunity to see them in '92 and '94...missed 'em both, not to mention, Chris Cornell's solo tour last year here in the States. (Either last year or the year before.) Soundgarden was the biggest influence in my forming a band in 1992.
The 2 bands that I definitely need to see before leaving this earth are Metallica and Van Halen...but ONLY if Dave is back on vocals.
For the record: Ozomatli just released their 2nd CD on September 11th, "Embrace the Chaos." I myself will probably buy it Friday. If you like funk, hip-hop, Latin, and rock put in a bowl, mixed up, and thrown against the wall, you will probably dig them. They put on one of the best live shows you will probably ever see. They are currently playing some shows across the US and will probably branch out across the globe. I highly recommend it.
