Wheels of Fortune

A thread featuring lyrics that refer to the ever-changing "wheels of fortune" . . .

This quote is from Rush, the album Grace Under Pressue. The song is Between The Wheels:
Quote:
Wheels can take you around
Wheels can cut you down
We can go from boom to bust
From dreams to a bowl of dust
We can fall from rockets' red glare
Down to "Brother can you spare..."
Another war
Another wasteland
And another lost generation
I'm listening to Grace Under Pressure right now.

Other notable examples that come to mind are Wheel In The Sky by Journey:
Quote:
Ooh, the wheel in the sky keeps on turnin'
I don't know where I'll be tomorrow
...and Wheels of Fortune by the Doobie Brothers:
Quote:
Changin' wheels of fortune
Drivin' us on and on
Winnin', sometimes losin'
As soon as it's here it's gone

it's a matter of deciding for yourself how important ultra-facility is to your
expression. ... I found, like Joseph Campbell said, if you just follow whatever
gives you a little joy or excitement or awe, then you're on the right track.
