Me: Cool. Hey, want to see a picture of the Large Hadron Collider?
Him: Sure, I guess... Yeah, it looks like pretty much any other particle accelerator.
Me: I've never seen a particle accelerator before.
Him: [laughs]
Me: Why is that funny?
Him: I don't know. It just is.
