Well, my *reason* for driving a gas-guzzler relates to my career. Unfortunately, I need a 4X4 vehicle because I work in the desert and other areas where terrain is an issue. I'm not rich enough to afford a vehicle for city driving and one for my work. So, rather than run the risk of being stranded in the middle of nowhere USA by myself (cell phone's often don't work either) I drive a gas-guzzling truck. Believe me, if the auto industry would make one that got better gas mileage, I'd get it.
