Well, he's a man, and he wanted to teach the child how to fish and thought I'd be upset about him getting a girl all dirty. (we actually both wanted to girl to be honest because we have the two boys already)
I told him he could teach a girl how to fish. My dad did.

My dad also taught me how to pluck poultry, slaughter livestock, shoot straight and drive a car, and speaking of cars, he taught me how to do a basic grease and oil change along with setting the timing and tappets and how to change the plugs and leads.
My Dad taught me a lot of stuff. I'm hoping Dazza will do the same for our child.
eta: That being said, I think it's pretty normal for men to want sons and women to want daughters broadly speaking. We bond with the child that's the same sex more than the opposite. Dr Phil (and a whole lot of other psychologists) said.
