I have a fair amount of advice for insomnia with a normal sleep schedule, but I've got nothing for you if you work the night shift and are supposed to sleep during the day. That goes against everything your body wants you to do. I imagine you need to trick your body. Very dark window shades. No lights on. Soothing soft music or white noise to block out the daytime sounds.

Is this schedule a permanent one, or just for a while? I would cut out any caffeine about ten hours before you plan to sleep. So maybe that means after midnight for you.
