There are those who believe that they are only required to provide the number of people in your household...and asking anything beyond that is unconstitutional.

They would be wrong. You could be fined or in the worst case, tossed in the can, for not responding, although highly unlikely unless you attempt to make yourself into a martyr for the cause.

I agree the long form is cumbersome and potentially intrusive, but I see the value of the data and dont see the nefarious intent projected by some (not you).
