Monster I did wrote that I accepted it still wasn't everyday conversation and I wouldn't expect to hear about it at the school gate - but I must have overwritten it when writing about my implant...? It's certainly not in the post as it stands.
I didn't mean to suggest you were wrong - although thinking about it seriously, people do seem more open than 10 years ago. Then again perhaps that's only people my own age, which makes it less about the country and more about aging.
