1. Spray WD40. Wait ten minutes.
2. Realign and jiggle all fittings. Try opening.
3. Keep trying to open while jiggling all components.
4. Gradually increase force used in trying to open.
5. Continue increasing force used. It will open. It may not close again afterwards, but if it wasn't opening, it was broken anyway.
