Yes but, but, but...
This Mac has been running continuously since 8/11/06
with
no hardware failures or repairs,
additional costs for Apple or 3rd-party software, and zero viral infestations.
Doesn't that count for something ?
Oooops, I did replace the original Apple mouse with an optical mouse.
It's almost impossible to get people to change their ways.
But Merc did change at least once (that I know of) from PC to Mac
