Dreaming of a Green Christmas
In the light I see,
Myself in the mirror,
Ugly as can be,
Not a dollar to my name,
All my words were all in vain,
All this music sounds the same
I don't want evil to prevail,
I just want to set sail,
And watch the whales,
If humanity fails,
To see the light,
I know God will,
Be in my dreams tonight,
And I'm dreaming,
Of a Green Christmas,
Not to fuss not to cuss,
But this statue,
Is starting to rust,
And the gamma rays,
Are a bit off mark,
Will anyone help me,
Or will you all betray me,
I don't expect you to bow,
But I do expect you to believe,
That Jesus loves me,
Just like he loves you,
If I had wealth I'd share it,
But I'm broke as a joke,
And religious like the Pope,
Maybe I can afford to,
Buy you a coke,
I just was to Love God,
ANd live my life,
I need a wife,
Who's worth her weight,
In Gold,
I always wanted,
To marry young,
But Now I'm getting old,
So tell me what you want,
Me to do and I'll do as I'm told.
