Seriously, I think the fact that humans like sex so much and want to do it outside breeding times, is evolution's way of keeping breeding pairs together, thus enhancing the offspring's chance of survival. I suspect the constant reinforcing with pleasurable neuro-chemicals keeps many couples together.
