Yeah I left a voicemail on the number I had, but I can never be sure it's the right number. Even when he gave it to me he said he had another phone, but never got around to giving me the number...

Back when he was working for the Police I called the number he gave me and the (very polite and very Southern woman) could not or would not recognise the name to put me through. Turns out he'd given me an Army number - I think.

Now I don't like answering my phone, but there are people on the Cellar that have my parents' landline. Even if I move out of here, go into hospital or go AWOL there are people that people can speak to. I might even give some grandees my bro's number in future - just in case.

Not criticising Sarge, it's just hard on those of us left behind, not to know how and when to start worrying.
