Stop being so goddamn arrogant. It can happen ANYWHERE for ANY REASON.
All it takes is one nutjob with know-how or guns who thinks they have a grievance.
There's an unending supply of them.

Let's focus on not giving them the opportunity (and maybe fewer "reasons")

Two Ontario men injured in detonation of homemade explosives, police investigate
Quote:
In a remote area near Vale, Ore., two men were dealt life-threatening injuries
after their homemade explosives detonated - eventually landing them in hospitals in Portland and Boise.

"They were able to summon assistance after the explosion from a relative who
then transported them in their vehicle to Saint Alphonsus," says Ontario, Ore. Police Chief Mark Alexander.

But, the Ontario neighbors of the two men say, it's not the remote scene in the desert that worries them the most.

“(An) officer comes to the door and tells me that the neighbor had been making bombs
and there were several bomb materials inside the home," says next-door-neighbor Nikina Williamson.

Police evacuated Williamson’s home, finding even more explosives where the men lived
-- a home that happens to be right next door to a daycare,
and just feet away from where small children play.
