You're right Griff (you're right too, for that matter, Gravdigr). I found it at Hardwick's, my local candy store hardware store. They have **everything**, and a vast selection of used tools, but not this one, anymore. I paid $2.50 for it. I looked around the web to learn about this tool, because I had no idea what it was called. In the store, I figured out for myself that it was good for tightening pipes, like a pipe wrench, like a pipe ratchet actually. It only grabs in one direction, to reverse direction, turn the wrench over. The sharp teeth grip the iron pipe neatly. I think I scored a great deal, since in my searches, I found "universal wrench", "alligator wrench", and "goat wrench" that matched my tool. I found new ones for sale for as much as $73!!!

I thought the holes in the handle were for putting in some kind of cheater bar for more leverage, but no. They're for turning square nuts. Some of the wrenches I found have rethreading dies in the handle. It's a pretty cool tool, I love tools.
