If you've got a good enough enclosure, you don't really need a cock at all. Hens lay eggs regardless. Do keep in mind, though, that the ratio of cocks to hens should be at least 1:15 (1:20 is better). Cocks are literal fucking machines (*
grin*), and they can be
very hard on hens if the ratio is too low.
