Zara Blunder

Unless you've been living under a rock today, or don't have a whole heap of socially conscious people on your social media feeds, you'd know about this story regarding the used of blue and white stripes and a yellow star on some childrens PJ's.

My argument is that the company has removed the line, at great expense, and they've apologised. What are people still going on about? Am I missing something? What else do people require? I mean seriously, should someone be fired for not realising they're offending a group of people, unintentionally (giving the benefit of the doubt).

I didn't realise it was offensive till I read the article. My first thought when I saw the picture was that the pj's were cute. I always thought it was the star of david which was used, not a yellow one, and I don't recall ever seeing a colour photo of anything to do with the holocaust. If I can make that statement in all honesty, then why is it so hard to assume that many others would too?
