I am currently endorsing, wholeheartedly no less, Victor Mousetraps.
I have trapped 4 short tailed shrews over the past three days. Not sure if there are more, but the third one was trapped in the middle of the night and was partially eaten by the morning. No activity since the 4th one was caught.
The trap worked great. Simple design, effective. Peanut butter bait.
