Hmmm - never even thought of that. I do intermittently get lower back probs though, and sometimes the pain makes me feel queasy because it feels like the vertebrae are pulling apart. Anything boney or jointy and I go faint very easily at the thought of it.

The throwing up was probably a combination of the queasiness of the back pain, the shock of the fall, painkillers on an empty stomach, and stress at the thought of doing the viva the next day.

I'll bear it in mind though - I've got a few days clear now so am going to rest up and see how I am - if i'm still in pain after the weekend I'll go see my doc.

Right now my biggest problem is the pain in my ribs - christ on a bike, that ain't fun. Am hoping it's muscle pain and that I haven't cracked a rib or popped one out of place slightly. Again - am going to take it uber easy and see how I am on Monday. A long weekend cures many ills.
