reading the text, it sounds more like a semi-automatic replica. The text also talks about "pellets" instead of bullets.
Also, the hyperbole and likely milieu of the ad tends to make me think of comic books and similar publications. The ones where you could also buy plans to build a hovercraft (or UFO) out of mom's vacuum cleaner motor, speedy go karts and sea monkeys. But when you get you new weapon of mass destruction, you find that it is plastic, six inches high and fires paper wads.
Not that *I* ever bought any of that stuff, you understand. But there was this one kid I knew....
