oldest thing
ok kids, today in the neverending quest for truth, justice and the American... oh wait.. sorrry.. thats the "other" persona
today in the neverending quest for totally useless info... what is the oldest thing in your closet? ( not counting your weird old Uncle Harold that no one really talks about ) I've got a sweater that is about 24-25 years old ( I've known mrs. G for 14 ) ok it's got a few holes and thin spots (unlike me) but it's just getting comfy. Mrs G tends to think on the other hand that I should, and I quote, "throw that moth eaten rag away" so again.. you kids got anything that can measure up to my prized sweater ( that would be jumper to you Brits ) |

My oldest thing is my closet.
I have two wardrobes in my room about the same age as me. My parents bought them when they moved in here. I have no old clothes as my size has chanhed dramatically over the years. I do have a two pairs of stacked wedges that predate my marriage though, so that's 14-15 years ago at least. |

It's when Mr Tumnus arrives that things really get interesting.
...and y'know...Mr and Mrs Beaver....obviously.

I have an 18 year old sweater - it's green and I bought it in the men's dept. and I truly love it. There are a few holes but I still wear it.
I also have a pair of shoes that are about 20 years old. Bjorn makes them to last, baby.

I've got a circa 1986 leather jacket in the closet... You never know when I'll be the prop man for an '80s mockumentary. Do I have any bids?

I've got a hand made wool shirt from my hippie days, it's circa 1979-1980.

My retired anvil was made in 1908. I might take it out of the closet and use it for a decoration...but for now, there's no room.
