*Waves hello from across the pond*
Hello!
An email from Brucie-babes reminded me that I have been remiss.* I haven't been around much at all, and qwhen I have I've just kind of flown through without posting. So *waves hello* this is me waving hello from across the pond and letting y'all know I'm still here. Still here and still fine. Well...I say fine...the tennis elbow got bad enough that i actually allowed the doctor to stick a needle into my elbow joint *slight shudder* It's still bloody sore around the spot where the needle went into the tendon. But, I digress... The hand in date for my thesis is rapidly approaching. In much the same way that a train might rapidly approach someone stuck on the tracks...but, I'll get there. In the end. The next stage of things (PhD and teaching) is unlikely to be anywhere near as intensive as this research MA has been (the MA is effectively a mini phD but done in 1 year: same amount of reseach required etc) so I should be around more then. Pilau also says helloo *a small, brown, furry paw appears, waving*. he's had an interesing few weeks. He still has problems with his back leg, but the vet said it'd probably take a good six months for that to resolve itself: he is continuing to take Tramadol in the meantime: 3 times a day, what fun. The monthly tablet for his arthritis seems to be helping a lot and he is now down to monthly acupuncture for his back instead of weekly. He met a new friend: The two J's have taken on a rescue dog. A 10 year old collie cross called Lucky. He suits his name, he is without doubt the most optimistic little dog I've met in a long time. He and Pilau got on like a house on fire. I think that's probably the first time I've seen him play properly with another dog since he was a pup (he and Dan don't play much with each other because it ends up turning into dominance stuff). So there we go. That's us. Oh...sorry yes. one more tiny piece of news: I have acquired a new obsession...to add to my other obsessions...Stargate. I have become a total fangurl for Stargate. Having avoided it for almost a decade and a half, I have fallen and am hooked. Ok...that really is it for now. Hope y'all are well. I'll be popping in from time to time over the next month, but I'll be back properly after that *waves agan* * the email wasn't about me being remiss btw. Was a thing about Phd's.

Good for you - Go kick some butt on that school and come back when you're done.
Good Luck - not that you'll need it.
