Cellar Coat of Arms
We should have one.
A Monkey and a Whale Penis fighting over a Typewriter? A Monkey and a Whale Penis fighting a Cock(erel) over a Typewriter?

No, it should be a coat of footfootfoot. With a treadmill and a pigeon, a monkey holding a whale penis triumphant, foot cubed in the 3rd quadrant, and in the 4th quadrant a crone with a flower, for Claudette. The colors to reflect those of UT and Bruce.

next, there are only five colours red (gules), green (vert), blue (azure), black (sable) and purple (purpure), two metals (gold called 'or' drawn as yellow, and silver called 'argent' drawn as white). there are also lots of furs and two stains but that's a bit complicated. I wear a number of anoraks, you guys all collectively just screwed up by starting me off on one of them

Come to think of it, a 'Cellar Passant' might not be that easy either. |

Who the hell cares? You can have anything you want on a coat of arms. The colors, the symbols - they won't mean 'white guys', not in the way I visualize it. This place transcends the individual, but the individual should not be lost.

a 'cellar engorged' might also raise an eyebrow or two at the College as well - you'd get away with it in a Carry On film though.
talking of which, from Carry On Henry there are a couple of mottoes: "Non Crapito Suum Januum" (Don't shit on your own doorstep), or "Non Fartum Contra Tornatum" (Don't fart against a thunderstorm). Press 1 for Crapito or press 2 for Fartum or press 9 to speak to one of our advisors. Your call is valuable to us,...

there is a heraldic salt-cellar, there is a heraldic toad (which I guess should go on a chief which is a bar at the top of the shield so that the rest of the cellar is under toad.
Neat, huh! as for the animals there are loads available and you need to pick two as supporters (either side of the shield), maybe another in the crest (the bit above the shield where knights display their helmets ;-) a typewriter we can do on the shield or in the crest, but a whale penis rampant is going to be a bit tricky. if anyone wants to suggest any animals or other things that represent the meaning or spirit of The Cellar then post it here and I'll mock something up that at least follows the laws of heraldry. There are too many heavyweight members to be able to fit them all in, so other than undertoad I don't think we should have any because we'd be forced to omit so many. Eg. a shovel for Gravdigr, a yardstick for footfootfoot, a stethoscope for orthodoc and a chevron for BigV and the shield is pretty full, and that's why I think we go fir the essence of the place rather than the people that live here. give me a reasoned argument if you disagree. by the way I have discovered a way of representing stonework, like you see all around you when you're in a cellar
