October 3, 2008: Friday Pigs
OK, it's Friday and that means a cute, cuddly, preferably edible, image.
We've seen the racing pigs before, a couple times I think. We've seen they come out of the gate.  And we've seen them race around the track  But the burning question is, are they forced to do this? Are they being abused by their owners/trainers? Are they being mistreated for the amusement of callous race goers? Is PETA right? Or do the piggies enjoy, nay, look forward with anticipation, to the race?  Looks to me like they can't wait to, git 'er done.

When I lived by a greyhound racing track, we used to bet on ones that peed or pooped on the way to the start gate, they always seemed to place or show. Wonder if it's the same for piglets?
