Posts Per Mile

My car has 117,281 miles on the clock. That means I've driven almost exactly nine miles per post.

Well not really...... to get posts per mile you need more posts than miles -which I don't have, so I really should have called the thread miles per post. You can calculate either. or post the figs and I'll do it for you.

(Yup, it's a really nasty job I'm avoiding....although classicman kindly being 600 miles away this afternoon helped me get started)

I may be 600 miles away, but kind? That's debatable

But I don't know how many miles I've driven during my post counting, or how many post I had when I started driving the current car. Capice?

Out here they have one post per mile. Usually they say something stupid on them like "mile marker 207". So you have actually done 117,281 posts. I think people should be allowed to post their thoughts on mile markers like "don't go to Fred's restaurant - the food is greasy and the waitresses even greasier."

Let's take the work truck and call it 26 miles per post. Which is a mile per letter of the alphabet. That seems fitting.

Does it still count as long division or sexy if you already know that 9*13 = 117?
