Coupon Madness
I love using coupons. My mother instilled this thriftiness in me at an early age. I've seen some great deals and some crappy deals. I thought I'd make a thread on good and bad deals that we've been offered.
I put this one in the 'Exclusion Hell' category. You get about %20 off (noone orders exactly $50) if you go to an Italian restaurant and you and your guests do not get pizza, pasta, or veal parm. I think that you can use the coupon as long as everyone just keeps ordering bread sticks. I mean what do you say to everyone. "Sweetheart, I'd love to take you and your parents out to dinner, but if your dad orders pizza or pasta, I'm going to beat the living **** out of him'.

I don't know what you need tampax for. I know that you're past the age for menopause.

Exactly. 'Not valid for menu items per se, but you're welcome to spend bucks on bar drinks that are also not included.'
Coupons are nice in theory but not so much in practice; I find they're either like this one or they're for stuff I never buy anyway.

We only do coupons at the grocery store. Out of the weekly flier with like 50 coupons, there will be maybe 4 that would be useful and that we bother clipping, and we may use 2 of them before they expire. They used to be better.

Michaels, the arts and crafts store, tends to do that "exclusion hell" deal with their amazing "40% off any item!!!!" coupons. 40% of any item, as long as the item is not anything that costs more than about $5.
