Ohhhh Emo!!
I loved Emo. My favourite was when he took his niece to the park to play on the swing. I pushed her on the swing and she said "higher....higher". So I pushed her and pushed her and she shouted "higher".......so I backed up the Buick. |

I like the Emo where he says that when he is scared in bed at night he starts singing "Whenever I feel afraid, I whistle a happy tune..." and he hears a voice that says "Thanks, I thought I'd never find you in the dark."

I used to think the brain was the most fascinating part of the body. Then I realized, look what's telling me that.

anyone wanna guess which pop diva I'm back in the studio with this week? (no fair giving it away, those of you who go way back)
She's producing a J-Pop girl. I get a kick out of the fact that an album whose market base is all 13-year old screaming fan-girls is being made by 30+ year old jetta-driving polo-and-khaki clad dorks.

Smooth, I find your wide head really attractive!
But, do you ever have trouble getting hats to fit? I mean, not detracting from your good looks and all - but you do have a massive heid! |

LOL. J spent years telling me i had a massive heid! It was his regular joke. If I asked him how a new outfit looked, he'd cock his head to one side, screw up his nose and say like, " I like it......but you need something wider to balance out the massive heid!"

Junior Pop? Is this a target market label? I've got 12 and 14 year old girls here, but they've recently discovered and started over-playing some band called... the Beatles?

Is this a Langer/Winstanley co-production deal where she makes decisions on what take to use and you twiddle the knobs?

No, I'm not involved in the production side at all. I'm just playing keyboards. It's one of those deals where I play a tasteful part that is musically appropriate and sonically interesting, the production team decides they hate it, they force me to go back in the room to play a steaming hot bowl of notemeal, big crashing chords and riffs, fast scales and stupid solos. And then, after 10 or 20 rounds of that, we go back and listen to the very first pass, the one I played after carefully listening to the song and choosing a part to fit it, and more of then than not, we use that one. But, I'm paid by the hour, and sometimes you have to go through 20 wrong answers before you realize that the right answer is actually right. @Clod - this girl just signed with Sony-Japan, and apparently one of the early-release singles is being used as the theme song for an anime show? I'm fuzzy on the details.
