Just saw one of Phil Collins's videos on tv. My wife wondered aloud about whatever happened to Phil. He was HUGE for 5 years or so there. So off to Wikipedia I went.

Turns out just two days ago, he called it quits.

I liked Phil, but he's right, his time is done. Horrible about his health issues, though.

Imma let you finish, but Genesis had some of the best albums of all time.

Genesis by Genesis (Home By the Sea, That's All, Mama) and And Then There Were Three (Follow You Follow Me *sigh*, Deep in the Motherlode)

He got kind of dorky especially in solo, but I still love some of that stuff. And Then There Were Three was one of the first albums I remember from my older brother's eventually HUGE record collection.

I liked him too, but then I was sick of him. I wouldn't wish his health problems on anyone. Amazing that at the end there, he had to tape his drumsticks in his hands so he could play.

Mr. Collins was an inspirational drummer for me in the seventies, but I believe that in 1979, somebody showed him how the Roland CR-78 drum machine worked... and it was all downhill after that.

Until Steve Hacket left, IMHO.
