post office vs banks (rant ahead)

I'm out of checks. (I'm out of money, too, but that's another thread.)

I go to online ordering. The shipping address I had was my old PO Box, which I don't have anymore. Well, they said they can't change addresses online, please call 1-877 blah blah blah. So, I did. I went all through the million prompts. I pressed 1 for address change:

"We're sorry, address changes cannot be done over the phone. Please contact your financial institution." Why didn't they just tell me this online?

My financial institution won't let me do anything online either (damn Mayberry freaking bank.)

SO, I figure I'll fill out a change of address card with Post Office. Guess what, it considers their OWN PO box a business address. I can't change that online. I CAN change my former physical address, as long as I put ONE FREAKING DOLLAR on a credit card (which I do not have anymore)

With all the damn technology, why is everything so difficult? When will one damn thing go right?

Thinking back to SG's mood gym thread, I wonder how a "positive" person would look at this situation. I close my eyes, I imagine Ms Positive smiling and giggling over the dilemma...then in my mind's eye I blow her happy head off.

Thanks for letting me rant.
