June 17 2015 - 'Tis the Season ~ Wedding Gown contest with $10,000 prize
This design contest was put on by Charmin and contestants from all over the country submitted their best designs for a wedding dress using only toilet paper, glue, tape, and a needle and thread.
Each finalist used between two and 40 rolls of Charmin Basic, Charmin Ultra Soft, Charmin Ultra Strong. From the 10 finalists, here is a sampling of the designs: And the $10,000 prize goes to ~ Crowned the winner of the 11th annual Cheap Chic Weddings Toilet Paper Wedding Dress Contest, Donna Pope Vincler, of Brentwood, Tennessee, will also get to see her dress turned into a real ready-to-wear item available for sale in certain stores. Ms. Vincler's design reflects a certain Southern elegance with the top hat and veil, tailored bodice with bow tie, and long, flowing train covered in flowers. It's as if all she needed to do was detach her train and she'd be ready for a ride or a hunt. (Isn't Charmin that squeezable brand? ) All photos courtesy of Cheap Chic Weddings.
